Meet my 8 yr old red sable pomeranian. Little Bear, is my service dog he alerts to a medical condition that I have. Bear was not "offically" trained to alert.It all began when I was hospilized for 8 days, while he stayed with a friend that did not like animals. He got his physical needs met but definately not his emotional needs. When I finally came home, he would not let me out of his site. One day he started running around the bottom of my feet and barking, I asked him if he had to go out, but he just sat down. So I sat down and then a few minutes later I had a bad asthma attack. I said to myself I know this little sh*t didn't just let me know, but before my next attack he did the same thing. Since he has been alerting I have never had an attack so severe that I have been hospilized.
I thank GOD everyday for this precious angel he has bestowed on me.
