A recent study conducted by The Associated Press and PetSide.com shows that more and more, pet owners are considering their furry companions a part of their family.

According to the study, 50% of pet owners feel that their pet is just as much a part of the family as any other person in the household. And they show it every day, with 30% admitting to their pet sleeping in bed with them at night, 27% celebrating their pet’s birthday, or the day the pet came to live with them, and 17% taking their pet to work…
