Pup Tent, it's not really a tent, but it is for pups so they got it half right, we would have called it "pup tee pee", but that sounds too stupid so Pup Tent it is!!!

When we saw the Pup Tent created by Slade Architecture as part of a design challenge to benefit the Design Trust for Public Space, featured on Design Sponge yesterday we had to share it with you!!!

The parameters for the challenge were to create a “nest” for a living creature that was also small enough to fit in a taxi, so the bidders could take their pieces home at the end of the event. Pup Tent was made from water-jet cut plywood laminated together in a conical shape. Openings at the top provide air circulation and some natural light for sleeping pups and cats!!!

Unfortunately this amazing piece, half sculpture half functioning pet bed, is not available for sale in the mass, pet marketplace, but we're hoping just like all of you, that this HAUTE Pup Tent does become available at a high end pet product retailer sometime soon!!!

Maybe we should all write to Slade Architecture and tell them to get on the stick, we want Pup Tents, and we want them now!!!
