What the HELL is a "swag bag"?!?
“It’s time to party with a purpose...
It's National Dog Party Day with the second annual set for Friday, June 22, 2012 in Miami, New York City and San Diego. We're is teaming up with Pet Sitters International (PSI), creators of Take Your Dog to Work Day™ to unleash a full day of working hard, playing hard with the goal of hosting celebrations across the country in subsequent years.
Each party will benefit a great pet charity in their area: Paws 4 You Rescue in Miami, Bideawee in New York City and Spay Neuter Action Project (SNAP) of San Diego County. Hosting the venues will be The Chalk Lounge in Miami Beach, The Spot Experience in New York City, and Camp-Run-A-Mutt/Point Loma in San Diego.
And who better to have as your party partner than your well-mannered dog...” declares Arden Moore, noted pet trend expert, founder of Four Legged Life and host of the Oh Behave ( where you will often hear the HorN Pets Gang chiming in) show on Pet Life Radio.com, the world’s top-rated pet podcast. She also serves as editor-at-large for Fido Friendly and contributing editor for Vetstreet.com.
The Miami party will feature three hours of scheduled activities(that's where the HorN Pets Gang will be) including:
• K9 Karaoke – Contestants serenade their dogs on stage. A panel of celebrity judges will crown the champion based on the song – and the dog’s reaction (howling as doggy backup singers is a plus).
• Canine Musical Chairs – Discover how hula hoops, some party music and leashed dogs fit into this fun canine game.
• Four Legged Life’s Tunnel of Love – This is a creative version of canine agility tunnel. The clock starts when the person kisses his/her leashed dog at the front end of an agility tunnel. The pair must wiggle through the tunnel together. The clock stops only after the pair exit and the dog kisses his/her person.
• Fabulous Raffle Prizes – Attendees buy raffle tickets for the chance to win more than $2,500 in prizes.
“Think of National Dog Party Day as the ultimate date night with your dog,” says Moore, who was inspired to create this national holiday after authoring the book, Dog Parties: How to Party with Your Pup. “People will get to live in the moment while we sneak in good doggy manners in a fun party setting.”
Doors open for guests and their well-mannered, leashed dogs at 6:30 p.m. at The Chalk Lounge, 1234 Washington Street, Miami Beach. The party starts promptly at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.
Earlier in the day – all across America – offices will open their doors to employees’ four-legged friends to participate in the 14th annual Take Your Dog to Work Day that champions adopting pets from animal shelters.
June 22, 2012 is a true Double Dog Day Celebration as pet lovers will “work like a dog by day and party like a pup at night.”
RSVP-event now tickets are $25 (and flying) with net proceeds benefitting Paws 4 You Rescue. Each dog will leave the party with a take-home "swag bag" filled with about $100 of items.
